Summer, Corbett National Park

summer, sunrays
a flower bursts
into a house of sunbirds

the hornbills raise their casque to the valley
dissolving into a sea of amber grass

summer, logs
drummed by woodpeckers
each a different genre

elephants cross the river in societies
the stag regroups his household

summer, stripes
hidden amidst bamboo
preparing a hunt
